Space is critical infrastructure.
We treat it that way.
CYSAT is the world's largest forum dedicated exclusively to cybersecurity for the space industry, built from scratch by a team who saw a gap between the people building satellites and the people defending them.
How CYSAT
came to be.
In the early years of the NewSpace era, something was missing. The space industry was expanding rapidly, with more satellites, more operators, more ground infrastructure and more data, but the conversation about securing that infrastructure was happening in silos. Space agencies spoke to space agencies. Cybersecurity experts spoke to cybersecurity experts. Rarely did the two rooms overlap.
"The attack on the Viasat KA-SAT network in February 2022 was not a surprise to those paying attention. It was a warning that had been years in the making."
CYSEC, a cybersecurity company building products for satellites and critical compute, saw this firsthand. Working with space agencies and operators, they kept running into the same problem: the people who needed to understand the threat landscape were not in the same room as the people who could help. So they built the room.
The first CYSAT took place in Paris in 2021. It was a small, focused event, but it answered a real need. By the third edition in 2023, over 450 space specialists and decision makers attended, including a live, world first satellite hacking demonstration on ESA's OPS-SAT nanosatellite. By 2025, the conference had grown to nearly 600 attendees across two days, with the ESA Director General among the keynote speakers.
CYSAT has since expanded beyond Europe, with editions in Madrid and Singapore, and the community it serves has grown into a global network of space agencies, satellite operators, manufacturers, regulators and cybersecurity researchers all working on the same set of urgent problems.
CYSAT IS A WORLDWIDE
COMMUNITY

Three things that
make a difference.
Space agencies, satellite operators, manufacturers, regulators and cybersecurity researchers don't naturally share conference floors. CYSAT is built to change that, with every programme decision made for cross sector convergence.
Panels and workshops are curated around the real threat landscape, not the comfortable one. From live attack demonstrations to classified adjacent briefings, CYSAT exposes the vulnerabilities adversaries are already studying.
CYSAT is deliberately European in character, because Europe needs sovereign capability to secure its own space infrastructure. The conference is a node in that ecosystem where partnerships form and standards take shape.
The people who
make it happen.
CYSAT is run by a tight knit team from CYSEC: engineers, event professionals and community builders who believe that getting this community together is itself a form of defence.
Built for the whole
space security chain.
