CYSAT USA Returns for a Second Edition, Strengthening the Transatlantic Partnership in Space Cybersecurity
After the success of its inaugural edition at the Swiss Embassy in Washington, CYSAT USA is back to foster closer ties between the European and American space communities. Co-organized by Space ISAC and the Franco-Swiss company CYSEC, this year’s event will take place on April 9 at UCCS Kevin O’Neil Research and Education Center, Colorado Springs, on the sidelines of the renowned Space Symposium.
The main objective is to bring together leading cybersecurity and space-industry experts to share the latest developments and insights. On the one hand, the United States is making rapid progress in deploying large constellations, such as Starlink; on the other, Europe is focusing on major initiatives like the newly signed IRIS2 constellation project – resulting from four years of negotiations among leading European space players.
A Common Goal: Secure Satellite Communications for All
As more constellations emerge, secure and reliable satellite communications have become a global priority. The shared ambition is to provide robust and protected connectivity for populations in remote areas, as well as for commercial and defense applications.

On International Cooperation in Space Cybersecurity : As space becomes increasingly critical to national security, economic stability, and technological advancement, the cybersecurity threats facing space assets are growing in complexity and scale. Ensuring the resilience of space systems requires strong international collaboration between governmental agencies, military organizations, private industry, and research institutions.
This panel will bring together leading experts from the U.S. and Europe to discuss:
Global Threat Landscape : What are the main cyber threats targeting space assets today? How do they evolve with emerging technologies like AI, quantum computing, and autonomous systems?
The Role of International Partnerships : How can nations collaborate more effectively to share intelligence, establish joint defense strategies, and respond to cyber incidents affecting global space infrastructure? How can organizations like NATO, the U.S. Space Command, and the French Space Command work together to establish best practices?
Securing Military and Commercial Space Operations :With an increasing number of dual-use technologies and private sector involvement in space, how can we ensure a coordinated cybersecurity approach between government agencies and industry leaders?

CYSAT is the biggest worldwide event entirely dedicated to cybersecurity for commercial space applications.
When and where is CYSAT 2025 being held?
CYSAT USA 2025 will be held in Colorado Springs next April 9th, 2025, and is organized by Space ISAC & CYSEC. The European CYSAT event will take place in Paris – Station F, next May 14th & 15th, 2025. The event is owned and organized by CYSEC.

What can I expect from CYSAT ?
A panel of high speakers, from Europe & the USA followed by a networking cocktail will be held after the event at the University of Colorado Springs – UCCS
